Job Title       : Sales Administrator

Department: Sales and Marketing

Reports to    : Assistant Sales Manager

Deadline: Febuaury 2023

Job Purpose

The role entails cultivating and maintaining excellent business relationships with external customers / national accounts

To maintain successful customer relationships that reinforce the positive perception of our company and result in profitable revenues.

To prospect for, close, service and maintain customer loyalty nationally and internationally where requested.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the customer involvement of other company personnel when needed, including support resources, team members, and management.
  • Provide client discovery and assessment support to the Sales team.
  • Work closely with other members of the team to implement tactics defined as part of sales and marketing activities to ensure that production matches market demand.
  • Adopt a customer-centric view in delivering satisfaction through effective monitoring and control of customer orders throughout the entire portfolio.
  • Become the company’s brand ambassador and implement communication and branding efforts at every customer-interface opportunity.
  • Complete required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
  • Respond to the customer support requirements of the supported team, including account management and business development sales representatives, implementation and service personnel, and other sales and management resources as needed.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Establish and maintain positive work relationships and works productively with support groups within the business, i.e., Marketing, Finance, QA, Logistics, Production planning, etc.
  • Propose and actively contributes to improvements and efficiencies in Sales processes and resources.
  • Continually challenge the status quo to identify opportunities to improve overall business / functional performance, enhancing the vision of innovation and excellence that own team and those across the business can buy into and support, and that demonstrates a true “passion for possibilities and excellence”.
  • Openly share information and expertise with others on technical knowledge, market trends, and customers’ insights.
  • Compile operational activities weekly and monthly from Sales Specialists to the Sales and Marketing with a clear format that encapsulate action plan.
  • Ensure Sales process and resource improvements and efficiencies, as required to consistently meet assigned deadlines to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Generate data reports for clients by gathering relevant data from various sources, analyzing the data and making recommendations on your findings.
  • Meet KPI as defined by the Sales and Marketing Manager in terms of customer care excellence, conversion rate and feedback collection.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Educational/Professional Qualification, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree/HND Diploma in Business/Management or equivalent combination of education and experience in a business environment.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of work experience successfully prospecting and engaging with customers in the selling of industrial / technical products and/or services for the packaging, or beverage industries.
  • Experience preparing quotes and tenders and Experience preparing export documentation is a plus.
  • High level of work ethics and customer satisfaction commitment. Must be passionate about meeting customer requirements.
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building.
  • Must have polished interpersonal communication skills. Exceptional telephone sales personality and written communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge and proficiency in preparing documents in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
  • Ability to generate leads, penetrate accounts and close the sale.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, a high level of motivation, requiring minimal supervision and be self-driven to achieve measured and expected success.
  • Speaking and writing fluently in English is required. Capable to communicate in French or in another major foreign language is very useful.
